Orion's Buckle

I am the tool
My prayer the point
That would grave outside of time
The eye of God
The oneword Love
On the heart
On the lustrous night

Then stretch my finger thus
And make a mark on Orion's belt

A dainty trace of white
A filigree of great respect
An unambitious line of light
To draw the eyes
Of others working to be free
Through a thousand thousand nights

They too can know
It is an immortal thing
To dream of being free
To know all the ones you are
Then being free to stretch
Just a little more
And gently
Trace a star
